BC 1 Call is a non-profit organization that works to educate homeowners and the contractor community in British Columbia about the importance of safe digging practices.

A key part of BC 1 Call’s mandate is to prevent against personal injury and property damage by educating the public and contractors about the importance of submitting a free locate request, by phone or online, to confirm there are no underground utilities in the area to be excavated. While these resources have long been available in English, BC 1 Call recognized the opportunity to expand their reach to BC’s growing multilingual population by offering certain key resources into Chinese and Punjabi.

LAT transcribed, translated and provided the voice over for the Basic Online Locate Webinar intended for homeowners and frontline contractors into Mandarin and Punjabi. LAT also translated their BC 1 Call Brochure, intended for the public at large, into Simplified Chinese and Punjabi.

LAT is thrilled to help BC 1 Call extend its important safety mandate to a broader, more diverse audience.
